Bio

Tavi is a nurse practitioner who has dual certifications in pediatrics and pediatric mental health. She has over 13 years of experience in inpatient management of children with complex medical and psychiatric diagnoses and outpatient urgent care. She served as the lead nurse practitioner in her previous role and enjoys collaborating with other disciplines and fostering positive relationships with her patients and their families. Tavi believes in a patient-centered approach to treatment and wants to make sure that each person feels heard and is treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. She is excited to transition to an outpatient setting where she can reach more children and young adults in need of mental health care. Tavi specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults (up to age 21). Clinical interests include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, OCD, adjustment disorders, sleep hygiene, and behavioral/psychiatric challenges associated with pediatric chronic illness. She has experience treating children receiving alternative treatment modalities such as ketamine, long-acting injectable medications, and ECT.

Tavi graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Tavi lives in Richmond, where she was born and raised, with her husband, two young daughters, and two dogs: a feisty chihuahua and an affable basset hound.
