Bio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with young adults, women, and families. If you or someone you love is struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or addiction, I can help. I speak English and Spanish, and am bi-cultural for those seeking a therapist with a Latino background.

As a therapist, I am relationship-driven and collaborative with my clients and their families. We will talk about what brought you to therapy and focus on your goals. My counseling style is warm and interactive, and I will support you and your family through the challenges you are facing. I can also help you and your family identify and explore coping mechanisms that may be more useful than your current strategies. I take a holistic approach to well-being, and believe that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected. I may suggest mindfulness techniques, physical movement, such as walks in nature, and journaling that will help you as you embark on your journey of living a better life.

I have over 20 years of experience working with youth and families. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Washington University and a Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am originally from Peru and immigrated to the U.S. when I was four years old.

I am married and have two daughters, ages 13 and 9. I love spending time in nature, traveling and going on hikes with my family and our sweet dog, Sandy. I enjoy reading books on personal development as I strive to live my best life, too.
