Bio

I am a supervisee in social work working under the supervision of Nikki Bowles, LCSW. I specialize in working with children, teens and adults who experience challenges related to trauma, serious mental illness, behavioral challenges, substance use, life transitions and existential crises. In addition, I have worked in a variety of crisis settings. My experience, both direct and in the field, enhances my ability to help people navigate different systems as well as connect them with additional resources to help them thrive.

In my practice I work through person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths based, and empowerment lenses; I do not use judgement and value that people are the experts of their own experiences. I enjoy integrating therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness, humor, expressive arts, self-compassion and values work into practice to support a person’s journey connecting with their core self. Treatment modalities I commonly use are CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, and IFS.

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2024 with a Master’s degree in social work (MSW). I previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) with a minor in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Before deciding to be a social worker, I studied art and design, working the field for some time.

In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, antiquing, doing arts and crafts, as well as spending time with family including my yorkiepoo puppy Max and green cheeked conure Quincy.

I currently work out of A&C’s Richmond office with clients residing in Virginia. In addition to providing services in person in a comfortable office setting, I provide Telehealth and walk and talk sessions to help meet client needs.
