Hello! I am a Resident in Counseling supervised directly by Henrietta Opoku. I graduated with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Michigan. My career began as a teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, where I engaged with children and families from diverse backgrounds. This experience has enriched my understanding and knowledge, which I bring to my counseling practice.
My clinical focus is on helping children, adolescents, and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, and ADHD. I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy to support even my youngest clients.
I am dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for my clients, ensuring they feel comfortable sharing their experiences and emotions. I value partnering with my clients to help them recognize and utilize their strengths, empowering them to overcome obstacles and improve their well-being. The therapeutic relationship I build is grounded in trust, respect, and empathy, which are the cornerstones of my practice. As a Northern Virginia native I am excited to continue my work in the area. I enjoy anything outdoors, staying active, golfing and trying new foods whenever possible!
