Hello! I am a LPC resident under the supervision of Dayna Kumar, LPC. I currently work with children and adolescents with a focus in trauma, depression and anxiety. Being vulnerable with a new person can be very intimidating, especially when trying to process difficult emotions. I believe the first step to building a therapeutic relationship is creating a space of comfort and trust with the client. This is done through transparency and allowing the client to feel empowered.
After receiving my Masters in Counselor Education from UVA in 2022 I worked as an elementary school counselor for two years. This experience introduced me to a diverse range of cultures and experiences. When approaching work I believe it is important to be humble and open to hearing the client exactly where they are.
When not working you can find me hiking with my dogs or spending time with my family.
