Bio

Hello! I specialize in working with teens, young adults, adults and families navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, grief, life transitions, and self-harm. If you or your child is struggling to manage their emotions, cope with difficult situations, or improve their social relationships, I can help. I prioritize developing an authentic relationship with my clients in order to help navigate life's challenges, process difficult emotions, and try new ways of coping. Together, we can work towards healing and growth.

I am a client-centered therapist dedicated to supporting your mental health by combining empathy and active listening with structured therapeutic techniques. My clinical approach emphasizes evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Exposure Therapy. In addition, my diverse background in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and international community development has equipped me with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the human experience.

Before my career in mental health, I completed a master’s degree in Anthropology and spent four years living in West Africa helping and walking alongside marginalized communities. This profound experience led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Since relocating to Virginia in 2020, I have been dedicated to working as a crisis counselor, supporting middle and high school students.

I see clients face-to-face in our Charlottesville-Pantops office and provide teletherapy across VA.
