Hi! I am Alissa. I am a resident in Counseling under supervision of Amanda Barnes, LPC and Amanda Sovik-Johnston, Ph.D. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, relationships, grief and loss, veterans, and stressmanagement. My client focus is with children 8-12, teens, young adults, and adults.In my practice my therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy integrated with person-centered therapy. I also have experience with trauma-focused CBT, narrative therapy andmotivational interviewing.I graduated in 2025 with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from LibertyUniversity.In my free time, I enjoy reading books about fantasy and sci-fi, baking sweet treats for my familyand friends, and spending time in nature.Currently, I work out of Crozet, Clover Lawn.
