I am a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy working with adults, couples and families. I specialize in working with clients who need support navigating familial relationships and couples seeking to reestablish their emotional connection. I also have extensive experience working within minority and underserved communities seeking therapy. My goal is to build strong relationships with clients and promote healthy growth and healing. I use a combination of contextual, experiential, and strength-based theories in my practice of therapy. My research interests include minority and underserved communities lived experiences, intergenerational trauma, parent-child relationships, and postpartum depression. I am a native of Nashville, TN. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. I then went on to complete a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science-Couple and Family Therapy at The Ohio State University. Prior to working at Active and Connected I completed a year-long internship at SproutFive (Columbus, OH) where I provided therapy services (assessment, intervention, treatment plans) to students, families, teachers and staff within the organization. Additionally, I have experience working within academia (public state institutions) in student affairs. In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, live music, and spending time with my husband and daughters.
