Bio

Hello! I specialize in working with women, families, children, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, body image/disordered eating, school difficulties, and parenting. I have a particular interest in helping students, athletes, mothers or soon-to-be mothers, parents, and Veteran/ law enforcement spouses navigate the challenges and joys that inevitably come along with those roles in life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential to helping people process difficult emotions and find new ways to handle hard situations.  I am strengths-based, solution-oriented, and value the unique and special qualities of each individual who joins me!

I am originally from Maryland and earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Salisbury University while starting for the women’s soccer team. I continue to hold the team record in career assists.  I earned my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland and have many years of experience in teaching, coaching, and parenting.

I have been married to my college sweetheart for over twenty years and we have three beautiful children together. My husband is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and I spent several years as a military spouse living in different states across the country. I enjoy athletics and sports, country music, and being with my family. When not working, you can find me cheering for my children from the sidelines of the football, lacrosse, and soccer fields.

I see clients face-to-face out of our Richmond, Virginia office and provide teletherapy across Virginia.  I am currently in-network with Aetna and Cigna. I am a Resident In Counseling under the supervision of Matt Browning, LPC.
