Bio

Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and specialize in treating adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing phobias, OCD, and other anxiety disorders. I also work with individuals struggling with eating disorders, using a team-based treatment approach that often includes the client's family and other medical providers. Additionally, I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients and navigating concerns related to sexuality, gender identity, relational issues, trauma, and discrimination using an intersectional approach.

My approach to therapy is strengths-based and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for treatment of phobias, OCD, and other anxiety disorders to help clients build, or rebuild, the life they want to live. I also help my clients seek fulfillment by mindfully engaging with the present moment and making daily choices guided by their personal core values.

I'm originally from Southern California and feel happiest near any body of water. After college and working in education for several years, I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. On weekends I love to get outside and connect with nature (hiking, camping, kayaking). I am currently licensed in Virginia and work out of the Falls Church and Arlington/Alexandria offices, offering in-person and teletherapy appointments.
