Bio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia who specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults struggling with their mental health, life transitions, parental divorce, and more. I have particular expertise in working with teens struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating. I feel so grateful to be able to accompany my clients on their unique journeys. I am passionate about using a collaborative, change-oriented approach with clients and their families to promote growth, and I am committed to utilizing evidence-based practices in effective and creative ways to empower my clients and facilitate change. I love incorporating the outdoors into sessions, and feel that “walking and talking” can be a powerful addition to traditional talk therapy.

I have worked with children, youth, and families my entire clinical career. I have experience working with teens with major mental illness in the day treatment setting, and children with significant emotional struggles and learning disabilities at a school for severe behavioral intervention.

After growing up in Charlottesville, I attended Vanderbilt University and pursued an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I earned my master of social work in 2016, and I returned to Charlottesville in 2018, where I began practicing as an outpatient therapist. Outside the office, you’ll find me walking my shaggy, highly energetic dog, sharing meals around town with friends, and listening to podcasts.

I am also credentialed (credential number 448) by the South Carolina Social Work Board to provide behavioral telehealth to clients in the state of South Carolina. For more information, please follow this link: https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/SocialWork.html
